A civil rights organization forLGBTQ equality by ending discrimination against LGBTQ people. They work towards “a world where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people are ensured equality and embraced as full members of society at home, at work and in every community.

Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.

National Center for Transgender Equality

The National Center for Transgender Equality was founded in 2003 by transgender activists who recognized the urgent need for policy change to advance transgender equality. With a committed board of directors, a volunteer staff of one, and donated office space, we set out to accomplish what no one had yet done: provide a powerful transgender advocacy presence in Washington, D.C.

A national organization “focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for LGBTQ students” through education, research, partnerships with other education organizations, and distribution of resources and support to student-led LGBTQ organizations and efforts.

Trans Student Educational Resources (TSER)

A youth-led organization which focuses on creating a more “trans-friendly education system” through education, training, and activism.

PFLAG – Support for Family & Friends

PFLAG provides support for allies, family members, and members of the LGBTQ community; education on “the unique issues and challenges” of those who are in the LGBTQ community; and advocacy. They host a variety of support meetings throughout San Diego.
